Tuesdau Together in The Word
_____________________________________________________
My friends, we want you to understand how it will be for those
followers who have already died. Then you won't grive over them
and be like people who don't have any hope. We believe that Jesus
died and was raised to life. We also believe that when God brings
Jesus back again, he will bring with him, all who had faith in Jesus
before before they died. Our Lord Jesus told us that when he comes,
we won't go up to meet him ahead of his followers who have already
died.
With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a
blast of God's tru;mpet, the lord will return from heaven from heaven.
Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised
to life. Next all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds
together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will
all be with the Lord forever. Encourage each other with these words.
1 Thes. 13-18

When I was around 10 I was setting by the bed side of a beloved uncle.
He had been unresponsive for days, and it had been days since he
had been awake. He was laying there so quiet when all of a sudden he
sat up, looked up, lifted his hands like a baby lifting her hands asking
to be picked up, and said, "Papa oh Papa." He laid back and was gone.
I believe he saw his Papa, and that his Papa had come to carry him to heaven.
I have a strong belief that, a fellow believer or an angel comes to make
our transition easier.
I am not saying I rejoyced and sing Psalms of praise.
The 1st year, everything seemed to be okay, by the second year
everything came unglued. I had a breakdown, and suffered
for a long, saying things like, "parents do not bury their children,
children bury their parents. For a long time I was so confused
that I would call my granddaughter my daughters name).
I always had this blessed hope, and knew Lisa was with Jesus.
I have my first post on Footsteps of a Prodigal.
This is a blog devoted to "praying prodigals home."

Just as you believe, I too believe that no one dies alone. Great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your heart...I noticed you have a blog about praying for prodigals. Have you ever heard of the Moms in Touch ministry (www.momsintouch.org)? They have a lot of encouragement and some scriptures that deal with praying for/hope for prodigals.
ReplyDeleteI too LOVE that passage of scripture... I remember saying to my family when my dad died... "that we do not grieve as those who have no hope." It is ok to grieve... but we have that BLESSED HOPE! Thank you Jesus!
ReplyDeleteSweet Blessings
