Together in the Word What are we going to do?

Tuesday together in the Word.
.
On days when life is difficult and I feel over whelmed, as I do a lot lately,
it helps to remember in my prayers that all God requires of me is to trust Him
and be His friend. I find I can do that.
.
My sister and I are going through probability one of the toughest trials that
sisters can go through collectively.
Each of us are different and each are handling our mothers disability in
our own way. And this is hard for us as we are all so different, and we
each think the other should do it our way. So often we say to each other
what are we going to do?
.
We know that God will do the best for us and our mother; but we are wondering
how painful the best will turn out to be.
.
Pray for us as we are watching our mother become more feeble. Each of us are
living each day trusting in Him. We are struggling to abide in the peace
of God that will crush anything Satan tries to do to us. The Lord created the world
out of chaos, He can easily deal with any problem that we have.
.
The scripture I am trusting in is 1 Cor 10:13
.
God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you
are able, but with the temptation also make a way of escape.
.
On days when life is difficult and I feel overwhelmed, as I do so much lately,
it helps to remember in my prayers that all God requires of me it to trust
in Him and be His friend.
I CAN DO THAT.
.
Lately I think all four of us have in our on way been regretting the past
and fearing the future. Suddenly God was speaking to me.
"My name is I AM."
I waited and God continued:
When you live in the past, with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard.
I am not there.
My name is not I was.
When you life in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard.
I am not there.
My name is not I will be.
When you live in this moment, it is not hard.
I am here.
My name is I AM.
.
Remember us in your prayers.

Praise for the Most High God

Gathering At the Well

.
.
______________________________________________________________________
.
The topic for todays study At The Well is Praise for the
Most High God.
.
Who or what is "most high" in your mind and heart today?
.
Is it the Most High, or someone or something else?
.
____________________________________________________________________
Psa 46:4 (There is) a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy
(the holy place) of the tabernacles of the most High.
.
Psa 50:14 Offer unto God, thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.
.
Psa 57:2 I will cry unto God most High; unto God that performeth (all things) for me.
.
____________________________________________________________________
.
How do we praise some one we have no knowledge of? I do know that when I became a christian, I felt lighter and had such a love inside me that I loved everyone
I came in contact with. Because He had forgive me I want to praise Him.
.
Over the years I have done much study on the Trinity. Due to like of time and space I can only
share a did bit here. This teaching will cause all who read it to life their voices in Praise!!!
At once I was in the Spirit, and there before was a throne in heaven with
someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the apperance of
jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the
throne.(Rev. 4:2-3NIV)
.
John found himself suddenly in Supreme Headquarters! The first thing he saw was a throne.
This thought runs contrary; to the thoughts and spirit of the age in which we live. The fact there is a throne, means there are absolutes which cannot be altered or changed. They are guranteed by authority of the throne! Not just a throne but a glorious throne. John also saw that the throne was occupied. Someone was sitting on it. Immediately our expectations are heighted by that. At last we are going to find out what God look like!
.
What we see are simply colors - colored lights, flashing like jewels - burning, flashing, pure colors. "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all," (1 John 1:5b KJV). Moses was told, "no man can see the face of God and live," (Exodus 33:20). No one has ever seen God at any time;
all that man may see are manifestations of his Being which tell out his attributes and glory. John saw a figure seated upon the throne but he could not see his features through the dazzling lights that danced arount the throne.
.
The first color was is a "jasper," which is really a diamond, the most beautiful of all gems because it has the ability to capture the light and flash it in brillant display of color - for they so beautifully reflect light. Brilliant crystal reflects the dominant attribute of God the Father, his holiness, his perfection. Diamonds are graded as to whether they are perfect or not; there is a perfect diamond reflecting the perfection of the Father, the incredible balance of attributes in his being so that he is always exactly what anyone can imagine perfection to be. The diamond speaks of the Father - the holiness of the Father. The second stone is the carnelian, or sardius, which was color red in color - glowing, beautiful, bloodred stone. That, of course, immediately suggests the Son. His major charasteristic is his willingness to shed his blood on our behalf, to

Gathering At the Well

give himself in redemptive atonement for our sins. It is the wonder of the ages. He is the Lamb of God slain from before the foundation of the world. The third color was the emerald. John
saw a great rainbow circling the throne, green as an emerald. Green is the color of nature, of creation.
.
The rainbow with various shades of green circling the throne speaks of the Holy Spirit administering the holiness and the redemption of God to all creation. I do not know if you are aware of this, but all rainbows are a circle. We only see part of it. The only time you can see a rainbow as a circle is when you are flying in a plane. Many of you perhaps have had the experience of looking down on clouds where showers have taken place, and you see a rainbow, a perfect circle. At the heart of the circle, invariably, is the shadow of the plane you are flying in!
I is a hearting thing when you are flying through a storm to look out and see a rainbow which has right its center the plane you are flying in! It is a promise of grace in the midst of storm.
.
Jesus, said to Thomas, "blessed are those who have not seen yet believe."
I have not had a vision of God on the throne, but I know he lives and I praise Him, because he lives I will live too!
.

.
Jesus, is the "most high" in my mind and heart today. The Easter season is upon us. Yes,
Easter is a pagant holiday and has nothing to do with Jesus, but it is also this season when
our Jewish believers celebrate the Passover. The studies I have been doing has melted my
heart and boggled my mind of the things our Savior when through for us. Keep your eyes on
this blog as I will be sharing some of them with you.
.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song to thee will be raised
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God ever glorious, evermore be praised!
.
Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down thheri golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubin and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Who wert, and art, and ever more shall be.
.
Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy; there is not beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.
.
Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth, and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy merciful and mighty!
God in three persons, blessed trinity

Together in the Word - Prayer

Today over at deedees we are meeting again to share a nugget of the word that we have
read this week.

_________________________________________________________________

Please listen when I pray! Have pity. Answer my prayer. My heart tells me too pray.
I am eager to see your face, so don't hide from me. I am your servent, and you have
helped me. Don't turn from me in anger. You alone keep me safe. Don't reject or desert
me. Even if my father and mother should desert me., you will take me up.

__________________________________________________________________

Exploration:

Prayer is talking with God.........and if we listen he will talk with us.

Inspiration:

Prayer does not chane God it changes him who prays.
Soren Kierkegaard

No one is a firmer believer in the power of prayer than the devil; not that he practices it,
but he suffers from it.
Greg H. King

Teaching:

Prayer is mentioned 411 times in the Bible. The psalmist is asking God to listen when
he prays! and answer my prayers. Many times I have cried out pleasen listen to me.
On phrase I use quiet often is .............if the Lord hears our prayers, and we know He
does then we have what we pray for.........this scripture is found in the NT (I did not look
it up the Holy Spirit just inspired me to type it.) The wonderful thing is when we pray
God changes our prayer so we are praying in the will of the Father.

I have also quoted often the 10th verse, when my father and mother forsake me the
Lord will lift me up.........There are so many ways we can be forsaken by our parents
other than them leaving physcially. They can just not be there emotionally. Think on
this....

Affirmation:

Your eyes are open
and they watch me
and everything I see.
Therefore I will be careful
little eyes what I see.
Oh, be careful little ears
what you hear. I will be
mingfull of what I listen
too...because he hears
also.

Thankful Thursday -- Thankfulness

Gathering At the Well

Thankfulness in Marriage.
.

What a wonderful topic to discuss today at the well. We are a group of ladies who meet each Monday

and share the thing we have learned in life.

Exploration:

Thankful - Adjective

conscious of benefit received, glad.

glad - adjective

having a cheerful or happy disposition, experiencing pleasure.

Inspiration:

"Be happy when God answers your prayers, but be more thankful when God makes you the answer to someone elses prayer."

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Col 3:15

It is hard to let the peace of God rule in your heart when you are married to a man who loves water and you are terrified of it. I have always liked to go to the beach and enjoy the waves and dance around in the waters. I knew Larry, in the past had owned a sail boad and had sailed around the Carribean. He announced to me one summer, "We are going to Destin and take sailing lessons." Instead of panicing I went to the local jem and signed up for swimming lessons. I did not tell Lary what I was doing. I wanted it to be a supprise. Time came for our trip, me with a smile on my face and the peace of knowing I could save my self, if worse came to worse. We got to Destin just after a hurricane had blowen through. The waves swelled 10 to 12 feet high. We had so much fun playing in the surf. When we got back to the condo we had rented, I asked Larry to come with me to the swimming pool. I waded into the pool like always, then went under water and swim all the way to the other side. I wish you could have seen the look on his face. Where did you learn to swim like that, I was proud to say I had been taking lessons. The next day we took our first sailing lesson. I LOVED IT.

. ..................................................................................................................................................................We We have such wonderful memories. Had he hadnot been adventures I would have missed out on so many wonderful things. So the question we are to discuss today is WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU CAN PUBLICITY THANK GOD FOR, IN RELATION TO YOUR HUSBAND. he has stretched me in so many ways it would take hours to tell all. His love for new adventures.....keeps me wondering what is next I have said no to flying an airplane...but that did not stop him.......I can not talk to confident I may be flying over your house one day.

INSPIRATION:

Thankfulness is to marriage as oil is to an engine. It needs to be applied liberally and throughout and is of such importance, that a fresh supply must be added regularily and longgevity.

Matthew Smith

In Honor of my Dad

23 years ago today my Daddy went to heaven.
While setting in his favorite chair praying he
left his tired wore out earthy body and stepped
in to a new body.
What is so neet about this is he loved St. Patrick's Day.
He told everyone he was Irash and green was his favorite color.
Daddy and Jesus walked this earth together and on Daddy's favorite
day, Jesus said," come walk with me in my world".
I alway wear something green to celebrate his favoite day.
It may sound silly but it makes me feel closer to him.
I have special green earings and bracelet that I save for this day.
I love you Daddy

Together in the Word

Several years ago, I became very sick.
Larry was in Africa on a mission trip. When
I did not show up for work they knew something
was wrong. When Mark (my son) got to my home I was
out of my head saying the 23 Psalm over and over.
I am glad I had hid God word in my heart.
The lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
Even when I am so sick I do not know any thing
His word works.
