Praise for the Most High God

The topic for todays study At The Well is Praise for the
Most High God.
.
Who or what is "most high" in your mind and heart today?
.
Is it the Most High, or someone or something else?
.

Psa 46:4 (There is) a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy
(the holy place) of the tabernacles of the most High.
.
Psa 50:14 Offer unto God, thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.
.
Psa 57:2 I will cry unto God most High; unto God that performeth (all things) for me.

How do we praise some one we have no knowledge of? I do know that when I became a christian, I felt lighter and had such a love inside me that I loved everyone
I came in contact with. Because He had forgive me I want to praise Him.
.
Over the years I have done much study on the Trinity. Due to like of time and space I can only
share a did bit here. This teaching will cause all who read it to life their voices in Praise!!!
At once I was in the Spirit, and there before was a throne in heaven with
someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the apperance of
jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the
throne.(Rev. 4:2-3NIV)
.
John found himself suddenly in Supreme Headquarters! The first thing he saw was a throne.
This thought runs contrary; to the thoughts and spirit of the age in which we live. The fact there is a throne, means there are absolutes which cannot be altered or changed. They are guranteed by authority of the throne! Not just a throne but a glorious throne. John also saw that the throne was occupied. Someone was sitting on it. Immediately our expectations are heighted by that. At last we are going to find out what God look like!
.
What we see are simply colors - colored lights, flashing like jewels - burning, flashing, pure colors. "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all," (1 John 1:5b KJV). Moses was told, "no man can see the face of God and live," (Exodus 33:20). No one has ever seen God at any time;
all that man may see are manifestations of his Being which tell out his attributes and glory. John saw a figure seated upon the throne but he could not see his features through the dazzling lights that danced arount the throne.
.
The first color was is a "jasper," which is really a diamond, the most beautiful of all gems because it has the ability to capture the light and flash it in brillant display of color - for they so beautifully reflect light. Brilliant crystal reflects the dominant attribute of God the Father, his holiness, his perfection. Diamonds are graded as to whether they are perfect or not; there is a perfect diamond reflecting the perfection of the Father, the incredible balance of attributes in his being so that he is always exactly what anyone can imagine perfection to be. The diamond speaks of the Father - the holiness of the Father. The second stone is the carnelian, or sardius, which was color red in color - glowing, beautiful, bloodred stone. That, of course, immediately suggests the Son. His major charasteristic is his willingness to shed his blood on our behalf, to

give himself in redemptive atonement for our sins. It is the wonder of the ages. He is the Lamb of God slain from before the foundation of the world. The third color was the emerald. John
saw a great rainbow circling the throne, green as an emerald. Green is the color of nature, of creation.
.
The rainbow with various shades of green circling the throne speaks of the Holy Spirit administering the holiness and the redemption of God to all creation. I do not know if you are aware of this, but all rainbows are a circle. We only see part of it. The only time you can see a rainbow as a circle is when you are flying in a plane. Many of you perhaps have had the experience of looking down on clouds where showers have taken place, and you see a rainbow, a perfect circle. At the heart of the circle, invariably, is the shadow of the plane you are flying in!
I is a hearting thing when you are flying through a storm to look out and see a rainbow which has right its center the plane you are flying in! It is a promise of grace in the midst of storm.
.
Jesus, said to Thomas, "blessed are those who have not seen yet believe."
I have not had a vision of God on the throne, but I know he lives and I praise Him, because he lives I will live too!

Jesus, is the "most high" in my mind and heart today. The Easter season is upon us. Yes,
Easter is a pagant holiday and has nothing to do with Jesus, but it is also this season when
our Jewish believers celebrate the Passover. The studies I have been doing has melted my
heart and boggled my mind of the things our Savior when through for us. Keep your eyes on
this blog as I will be sharing some of them with you.
.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song to thee will be raised
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God ever glorious, evermore be praised!
.
Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down thheri golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubin and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Who wert, and art, and ever more shall be.
.
Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy; there is not beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.
.
Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth, and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy merciful and mighty!
God in three persons, blessed trinity

  1. Great thoughts. I didn't know rainbows were circles. I thought they were arcs. It makes sense, though, when you think about it. Hmmm....I'm so glad you joined us At the Well this morning! Your love for the Father is so obvious! You're a blessing, indeed.
